About the Edisto Art Guild

The mission of the Edisto Art Guild is to support and promote the arts in our community for the benefit of all residents and visitors.

The Edisto Art Guild was organized in the early 1990s and has grown over the years to over 150 active members, both artists and those that appreciate and support art in the community. The Guild is a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization and all donations are fully tax deductible. Income from membership dues, donations and sponsorships go directly towards art programs and events on Edisto.

Activities of the edisto art guild:

• Community theater productions from The Edisto Players

• Free Arts in the Park concerts each summer

• Programs featuring presentations by regional artists and artisans - Fall, Winter & Spring

• Annual Jennie Gowan Memorial Art Show

• Annual Plein Air Paint Out

• Sponsor of award winning Edisto concert series by Chamber Music Charleston

• Workshops led by renowned Artists
