The Edisto Island Players will be performing Enchanted April by playwright Matthew Barber on March 18-21, 2027. Inexperienced as well as experienced actors are encouraged to audition. Rehearsals will begin on January 31, 2027.

This is a comedy set in 1922 about two frustrated London housewives who decide to rent a villa in Italy to escape their bleak marriages. They recruit two very different English women to share the cost and the experience. There, in the Mediterranean sunshine, all four bloom again - rediscovering themselves in ways they (and their husbands) could never have expected.
